Look before operating it again
Keep people and pets away from a door that is crooked, partly open or visibly damaged. If you heard a loud bang and the door is suddenly heavy, stop running the opener and arrange an assessment.
Check the simple things safely
If the door and hardware look intact, check whether the opener has power and whether the wall control behaves differently from the remote. Follow your model’s manual for owner controls. Do not bypass safety devices.
Leave loaded hardware alone
Do not loosen spring brackets, cables or bottom fixtures. Do not use the emergency release on an open door with suspected spring or cable damage; it may fall. Contact a technician for model-specific guidance.
Explain the symptoms
Tell us whether the motor runs, the door moves at all, and what changed before the problem. Share the opener model and a safely taken photo. Call 817-689-9906 to discuss the next step.
